Boxary uses relational models using graph concepts. Well, Boxary is not a Graph system, neither a ORM (Object Relational Model). It uses graph awareness to promote visual thinking. And while a generic ORM defines entities as objects, Boxary defines the data model as the set (v,e) being vertices and edges. As a matter of fact, the Boxary approach is a meta approach and supports application development on graph instances defined by Boxary meta data. Therefor is has it roots in tree data structures (IT), graph traversing (math) and polygon terminology (geometry).
